This year’s conference begins Friday with optional visits to Airlie Gardens, (2:00-4:00 pm) and NC Cooperative Extension Therapeutic Horticulture program (4:15-5:30 pm) with a plant sale benefiting the Ability Garden at the New Hanover County Arboretum (Ability Garden). Saturday’s full-day program will be on the campus of UNC Wilmington (8:30 am – 4:30 pm) and includes hands-on sessions and peer discussions.
The Saturday sessions will provide opportunities for networking, the basics of ‘trauma-informed care’ and using TH/HT with individuals who have experienced any form of trauma. You will have the chance to work in small groups with other practitioners who are serving the same population as you do (or you hope to), and to adapt the TH activity of pruning practices to different populations. Whether you are already working in TH/HT, or exploring the field, the breakout groups and hands-on activities will offer practical ways to increase your knowledge.
Meanwhile, enjoy the beautiful UNCW campus, and see how therapeutic horticulture can integrate with university programs in allied health fields.
Registration closes Friday, September 26, 2025, or earlier if the limit of 40 participants is reached. After September 26, no same-day/walk-in or registrations can be accommodated. Hotel information will be sent to conference attendees after registration closes.

[The $5 fee for Airlie Garden is paid to the Garden on Friday, Oct. 17 at 2p. There is no fee to tour The Ability Garden (4:15p)]
